Wings for Freedom/ By Kids for Kids
152 books created by kids for kids with the intention to help other kids.
This series of mini eBooks was born as an interior need to help the children from Guinea Bissau, one of the poorest places in the entire world, by donating 100% of the revenue from the book sales. It’s also to help the little artists from different parts of the world to express themselves by drawing and making their work public in a worldwide marketplace, to impress the little readers and give them the opportunity to be a part of this project.
We have set ourselves the objective of being able to break the limits of age, territory or race; a communion that goes beyond any faith and education.
Teach children that you can always find ways and methods to help others, and raise awareness about the needs of others, opposing the ego still in development.
Put in touch children from all parts of the world, and all religions or non-religions.
Teaching children in need with the new era of electronics and information can create content and distribute it anywhere in the world.
To sensitize the entire community by creating a precedent.
To do all this we have set a period of three years, to create 155 short-ebooks like this, designed by kids for kids, launching a book each week and donating the royalties directly to the children of Guinea Bissau.
Because we have full confidence in people who have dedicated part of their lives in helping others and to improve the hard lives of these kids.
Because we want to show the effect of our actions aimed at the long-term, in one of the poorest places in the world.
Under each drawing you will find the answers from every little artist, to the following two questions:
“What do you think we can do to improve the world?”
“What do you want to do when you grow up?”
The answers must be personal and may seem funny but the important thing is that they are genuine, without being influenced by an adult mind.
At the end of the project, we will have answers for each question from 1500 children from various parts of the planet and I think if the answers are genuine, they will bring many pleasant surprises and insights to reflect on. Besides the answers we will also have an impressive display with the drawings collected in three years from more than 1,500 children.
